Join your friendly, neighborhood Shakespeare – Renaissance Festival Awards winner Favorite Comedy Act (2021) & Favorite Child-Friendly Act (2018, 2019) – as he takes you on audience-interactive adventures full of merriment: sword fights, mistaken identities, star-cross’d lovers, flying implements of doom, musical numbers, being pursued by a bear, and …death by fluffy kittens! The Shakespearean adventures are zany performances shaped to be fun for everyone!
Shakespeare is always on the lookout for the stars of his next show. He’s in the lanes engaging directly with your guests to recruit them to be actors trodding the boards of The Tempest, or at least to be an interactive audience member. All of the shows involve everybody!
Actor Dan Kostelec, creator of Shakespeare Approves!, is a 20+ year veteran of renaissance faires and festivals, beginning as a member of the Blackfryars and Bachanalians acting companies at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and starting his one-person Shakespeare show in 2006 and taking it since then around the country (and to Scotland!) to renaissance festivals, including:
